The Center for Dementia Research (CDR) offers a multi-disciplinary environment for research and study. Staff members at the CDR have the opportunity to listen to and share ideas with top-notch scientists and thinkers in the weekly Neuroscience Seminar Series.

Also, colleagues gather together every Friday afternoon for the
CDR Friday Afternoon Lecture Series. The Series provides an opportunity for staff members to present their material and research to other staff in an informal setting.

In addition to CDR-sponsored lectures, there are also events sponsored by one of our partners in research, the Center for Advanced Brain Imaging (CABI). One example is the New York Regional Imaging Group Meetings. Other recent meetings held at CABI include the General User's Group Meeting, held on alternate Mondays at noon; the fMRI User's Group Meeting, held on alternate Mondays at noon; Brain Function for Physicists, held Tuesdays at 12:30; and a Certified Operators Course, held at varying times. For information on these and other meetings, please contact the at CABI at (845)398-5471.

The CDR's affiliation with New York University (NYU) offers staff members many opportunities to attend NYU-sponsored events. For example, the NYU Medical Center's Skirball Institute for Biomolecular Medicine conducts pioneering research in the areas of Developmental Genetics, Molecular Neurobiology, Molecular Pathogenesis, and Structural Biology. We invite you to view a calendar of all Skirball seminars.

You are also invited to view calendars of the NYU Departments of Cell Biology
, Psychiatry, and Psychiatry Child Study Center seminars.
