Dr. Pomara is the Director of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, an NYU-affiliated research institute.

My research focuses on the development of more effective pharmacological strategies for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and the identification of neurobiological predictors of therapeutic response. I also seek to identify pharmacokinetic and genetic mechanisms that cause increased sensitivity to cognitive toxicity in elderly persons taking pharmacologic agents.
