Ginsberg Collaborative Study Published in Journal of Neuroinflammation
The May 15 issue of Journal of Neuroinflammation contains research by a collaborative group that includes Dr. Stephen Ginsberg of the CDR. Findings explained in the piece, titled “Overexpression of pathogenic tau in astrocytes causes a reduction in AQP4 and GLT1, an immunosuppressed phenotype and unique transcriptional responses to repetitive mild TBI without appreciable changes in tauopathy,” reveal the importance of understanding tau astrogliopathy and its role in astroglial pathobiology under normal circumstances and following repetitive mild traumatic brain injury.
