Kuldeep Sachdeva, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Researcher

I am a cell biologist with over 11 years of research experience, focusing on intracellular trafficking, particularly within the endo-lysosomal system in different disease contexts. My doctoral training at NCBS | TIFR encompassed investigating endo-lysosomal modulation in infectious diseases.  From my arrival at the Nathan Kline Institute in 2021, I have been exploring endosomal dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases in my position as a postdoctoral researcher. Presently, I study synaptic endosomal pathology in dementia, specifically Alzheimer’s disease and Frontotemporal Dementia. My research aims to uncover how disruptions in cellular trafficking contribute to disease progression and subsequently, identify novel therapeutic targets. My vision for the future is to actively explore the potential of endocytosis as a powerful drug delivery mechanism, utilizing cellular uptake pathways to enhance targeted therapeutic strategies for various diseases.
