Ralph Nixon Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award at AAIC 2024

Ralph Nixon, M.D., Ph.D., is the recipient of the Khalid Iqbal Lifetime Achievement Award. The award honors senior investigators whose contributions have shown a lasting impact on the field and whose body of work has demonstrated a career-long commitment towards progress against Alzheimer’s and dementia. Nixon was presented the award on Sunday, July 28 at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference 2024 in Philadelphia. The AAIC presented six scientific awards at this year’s conference, recognizing researchers for their varied expertise, noteworthy achievements and innovative contributions to the field of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia research. According to AAIC’s chief science officer, Maria C. Carrillo, Ph.D., “The scientific leaders and innovators we are recognizing at AAIC 2024 have dedicated their lives to accelerating the pace of progress in science, medicine and care.” Congratulations Dr. Nixon!
